Benjamin Price has been involved in music since a very young age. Raised in classical and religious music by his Mother and Father, Benjamin’s talent for music came quite young.

Benjamin has directed 42nd Street, The Wizard of Oz, Honk, Once on this Island, a Salute to Cole Porter, Oliver, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Leader of the Pack, Music Man, Fiddler on the Roof, Anything Goes, and many more. He has also produced, arranged, and directed, Love on Broadway, Pops Spectacular, a Salute to Broadway, Seasons of Love, Pops in the Park and Ester the Musical, in which he composed and co-wrote the entire score. Other musical credits include Disney’s Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, West Side Story, Sound of Music and Annie Get Your Gun. Benjamin has participated in music all over the United States and was Principal Timpanist with Miami University’s Concert Band for four years. Benjamin now plays piano and conducts at many venues both public and private.

Benjamin graduated from William Steinway University, Manhattan, New York in early 2004 as a Concert Piano Specialist. After attending school Benjamin studied and played under the award winning conductor, Maestra Michelle Lewis. Benjamin founded the Ohio Metropolitan Theatre Orchestra in late 2004 as Cincinnati’s only full time regional Broadway orchestra. Benjamin and the Ohio Met Orchestra have had a whirlwind music career together, landing multiple nominations for the state of Ohio Orchid awards for best music! Benjamin was awarded his first Orchid award in 2008 for Excellence in Musical Direction.

Benjamin now works as a manager with Sysco Food Services of Cincinnati, and is full time conductor of The Ohio Met Orchestra and The Tri-City Orchestra. Currently Benjamin is working on a Classical Hymns recording project in Cincinnati. Benjamin thanks his parents for their support, also to his close friends that make life so interesting! He is very grateful to God, for having mercy on him when he was lost, and healing his soul. Benjamin considers true salvation the most awesome thing that ever happen to him.

Benjamin dedicates the 2008 season concerts to his brother George, who passed away on October 27th, 2007. He thanks God for allowing him to have had such a wonderful friend!
